Technique classes work on movements involved in each of the curriculums. They train muscles to execute movements correctly. Technique classes train the body to be stronger and more flexible. They start with a warm up, either at the barre or in the center. Center skill work follows. The class works on combinations to music that inspire a dancer to develop style. The goal of a technique class is not to learn a piece of choreography to perform, but to develop the skills to be a stronger dancer.
